Who will Skilful Selection + Job Matching benefit?
Directors; Experienced interviewers, HR personnel, Managers and Supervisors who may be involved in the selection and recruitment process, performance and appraisal interviewing
It is not an aim of this course to teach fundamental interviewing skills
Prerequisites: All participants should have had formal interviewing skills training
The purpose of this programme is develop an interviewer’s skill to be able to:
· Bring to light an individual’s ‘motivation and working traits’ and ‘preferences’ to ensure the company hires peak performers
· More successfully meet the recruitment needs of the company by being able to linguistically interpret job/project requests and their inherent motivation and working traits
Attending ‘Skilful Selection and Job Matching’ participants will learn how to:
ü Use potent influencing language together their existing interviewing knowledge and
skill
ü Listen for and pay attention to:-
The specific language interviewees use to describe their motivation and working
preferences
Be able to find out (and predict) what will influence their behaviour in a given work
context
ü Match the right person (motivated & resourceful) to the right role (most productive)
ü Place the right person in to a project/new job role and be confident that the individual will achieve the expected results
This programme will take existing interviewing skills to a whole new level, as it is to complement existing knowledge, skills and competency and accelerate work performance
Interviewers who know how to uncover exactly what makes a person ’tick’ will have greater success at recruitment and selection (or the transferring of staff internally to other job roles or into short-term projects), as opposed to those who remain unaware of below conscious processing
